Underkeep includes an automap with custom markers, and the developer also documents minimap notes. Use them to record unfinished puzzles, locked routes and return visits. We do not yet have a verified, complete map of every dungeon.
What to put in a map note
The developer’s pre-launch announcement specifically suggests notes for suspicious walls, places to revisit and unfinished business. A short label that explains why you stopped is more useful than an unexplained marker.
For example, “unresolved door — return later” is an editorial note format, not the name of an actual locked door. Avoid assuming that every unusual wall has a secret behind it.
A simple return-visit workflow
Record the unresolved thing
Write what you can actually see: a door, a puzzle clue or an unexplored route.
Keep the clue with the location
Include the clue text in your own notes if you want to avoid another trip just to reread it.
Revisit when the situation changes
New quest progress can be a reason to look again. For Rag Doll Run, players specifically report a quest-dependent route opening; do not assume that rule applies everywhere.
What the screenshot does — and does not — show
The official screenshot below shows the in-game interface and a map panel. It is a promotional example, not an annotated route to the Rag Doll Run doll, Soul Forge or West-Garden.
No complete world map, collectible coordinates or statue arrangement is available in the checked evidence. Those items remain research tasks rather than empty “interactive map” pages.
